About the programme

Cooperation with drone and air-defence equipment manufacturers

Why this programme exists

The Borey air-defence division works every day with unmanned systems, communications, optics and power equipment. We can deploy your equipment and test it in real combat conditions — in the war. A test range or a lab cannot replace that: the enemy, electronic warfare, weather, night work and crew tempo show how equipment actually behaves. We are open to working with Ukrainian and international manufacturers so their solutions become easier and more reliable for the people who use them.

Who we invite

Makers of interceptor, reconnaissance and strike UAVs, and companies producing support equipment: ground control stations, antennas and datalinks, thermal and day optics, batteries and charging, rugged laptops, cases and materials. The solution should be relevant to air-defence tasks and come with documentation to train the crew.

How a combat test works

After your request we agree the goal, timing, number of units and responsible people. BZBAK crews receive training from the manufacturer and use the unit on real combat missions at the front. Then comes a structured report and a talk with the crew, so you get specific observations from the war rather than general impressions.

Confidentiality and security

We do not disclose combat statistics, locations or sensitive data. Results are for the manufacturer; public materials only with mutual consent. Unit handover, terms of use and return are agreed separately before cooperation starts.

Report format

After testing in combat conditions the manufacturer receives a structured report. It covers:

  1. Combat conditionsMission type, EW, weather, time of day — without locations or sensitive data.
  2. UsabilityAssembly, setup, crew workflow, ergonomics.
  3. Reliability and limitsWhat worked consistently and where issues appeared.
  4. Documentation and trainingWhether instructions were clear and what the crew missed.
  5. ServiceRepairability, spare parts, speed of support.
  6. RecommendationsSuggested improvements and next steps.

The report is for the manufacturer. We do not publish combat statistics; joint materials only with mutual consent.
